Daily Maths Lessons

During July, continue to use the White Rose website to follow the daily lessons. The site is free, and you don't need to subscribe. The lessons here are excellent quality and tie in exactly with the National Curriculum. Unfortunately, we do not have a school subscription to access the worksheets.

The BBC Bitesize website also has daily lessons which tie in with the content of White Rose so between these two sites you should be able to keep up with the Year 3 Curriculum.

The content on Mathletics can also support the daily lessons, as well as any area where you feel less secure. Don't ignore things you're not sure of - keep trying until you get it!

Times Tables

If you can master your times tables children, the rest of maths gets a lot easier (I promise!). In Year 3 you need to learn 3, 4 and 8 times tables, you should already know 2, 5 and 10.

Aim to practise your times tables daily. Chant them, sing them, write them, draw them! You don't need a game or a website to learn these facts.

If you prefer using a website then there are lots of great ones available. I've included links to some in the weblinks folder below, but a Google search for times tables games will bring up lots of results too.

Of course, Mathletics can also support your learning of tables.
