Goodbye, Year One!

The last day of school has arrived! We are so sad that we didn't get to finish the year altogether as Class 3 and Class 4! We have loved working with the Year One children who returned to school (our lovely Hedgehog and Rabbit Pods) and we have been thinking of all of you who have been working hard at home.

We hope you have a lovely summer with your families!

We can't wait to see you all in September when you start Year Two!

Happy Friday, Boys and Girls!

We are thinking of you all and we hope you are enjoying your home schooling! You will now all have your school reports - how lovely for your parents/carers to see how hard you've been working this year! You will have also found out who your Year 2 teachers are going to be - how exciting!

Class 3 > Mrs Hewitt

Class 4 > Mrs Styles

Make sure to say a big HELLO to us in September too!

We miss you!

Hi Year One!

We hope you've had a wonderful half-term! It has been lovely having a week off in the sunshine! We are super excited because we will be seeing some of you on Tuesday! We can't wait to see your smiley faces! We understand that some of you will be continuing with your home schooling - we will miss seeing you but we are thinking of you. To keep you busy at home, we have prepared some activities for you to work through during the month of June - click on 'Tasks for June' on our Year 1 page.

For those of you who are returning on Tuesday, our classrooms will look a little different but we will still have a lovely day together! We can't wait to see you!

Happy Half-Term, Year One!

We will not be posting any work for you to complete next week. This is your time to switch off from school work and enjoy time with your family.

Relax, get some fresh air and have fun!

Hello Year One!

We hope you've had a lovely weekend! We've been busy adding some new things to our Y1 website page - have a look around - can you spot anything new? As always, your school tasks are ready for you. Please keep working hard and trying your best, boys and girls! There's a funny story to read in Literacy this week and a song to sing in Maths. Before we go, we wanted to tell you that next week is 'Mental Health Awareness Week' and the theme is KINDNESS! We challenge you to spread kindness like confetti! Ready... Steady... GO!

Hello Boys and Girls!

We hope you've had a fun weekend celebrating VE Day with your families! The children who were in school on Thursday had a VE Day party - you can see photos in the 'Gallery' section - can you spot any of your Y1 friends? The staff got dressed up for the party - Mrs Forbes looked lovely and she had lots of fun! Are you ready for another week of home schooling? Your tasks are waiting for you - remember to try your best to do as much as you can!

Thinking of you all!

Hello Year One!

We hope you have had a lovely weekend and you are ready for another week of home schooling! Your tasks are ready for you. We hope you enjoy them! Well done to all of you who have been busy on Mathletics! We can see your scores and we are so impressed with how many points you all have and the time you are spending on your Maths skills! Keep up the good work! You might have noticed that we have added a 'Wellbeing' section to our Y1 page. It is so important that you are looking after your mind and body at this strange time! Have a go at 'Wellbeing Bingo' with your family - dance, sing and laugh until your cheeks hurt! Teach your family our 'Take 5 Breathing' too - they will love it!

Hope to see you all soon! We miss you!

Welcome back, Year One!

We hope you have had a lovely Easter and that you've enjoyed eating chocolate eggs as much as we have! Hopefully you saw the Easter message from all of US to all of YOU (if not - check the 'Gallery' section). Tomorrow is the start of our summer term. Your home learning activities are ready for you in the 'Weekly Tasks' section. Remember - try your best to do as much as you can - that's all we ask!

Missing you all and wishing you well!

Friday 3rd April

Hello Year One,

We hope you're all still smiling and helping your grown-ups at home.  We'll not be posting any school tasks for two weeks due to the Easter Break, but we are thinking of you all and will be back on here with more messages and tasks on Monday 20th April.

Remember that you can still go on Mathletics, Spellodrome and Purple Mash as often as you want to.  You can do some PE with Joe Wicks or some Go Noodle and sing our songs.  There's a link from North Tyneside Music Education Hub in our 'music' section with lots of musical ideas for you to try.

Reading is still really important.  There is a link in our 'resources' section for North Tyneside's Easter Reading Challenge, including information about using your library card to access free ebooks.  Try to play some phonics games too.

We've added in some fun Easter crafts that you might like to try at home.

Keep smiling, keep moving and be kind to your families.

We've added photos in case you forget what we look like!
