At Spring Gardens, we work hard to provide a safe, happy and responsible community in which your child can enjoy learning and be valued as a unique individual. We want the time your child spends here to be a positive experience, which encourages a love of learning. We also recognise the key to making the most of your child’s time with us is a shared responsibility between school and home. We offer regular meetings and opportunities for you to share and enjoy your child’s experiences and their educational journey!

Reception enjoyed a visit from some community beekeepers today. We found out how bees make honey, how beekeepers look after the hives and were even able to try on some beekeeper suits. Tom kindly brought along a frame of honey for us to try - it was absolutely delicious! Thank you to Doug, Tom and Jordan from #north_east_young_dads_and_lads for coming along and giving our Reception such a wonderful experience.
In Year One, we loved having some of our adults come and join us for our Sounds Write session today. We played a sound review game and a seek the sound activity.
We had a School Buddy meeting today and discussed what we have achieved whilst being a buddy. Here are some of the things we have enjoyed;
‘I am enjoying helping the younger children!’
‘It is nice to help our friends and also our siblings.’
‘I have helped friends repair their relationships.’
Class 1 have enjoyed lots of outdoor learning this week. We sat under the blossom trees on the field to do observational drawings, looked all around our school grounds for different types of minibeasts, observed and learned about snails in our classroom (did you know they can have up to 27,000 teeth!) and then on Friday afternoon we returned the snails to safe places on our school field. 🐌
