The CEA Card is a national card scheme developed for UK cinemas by the UK Cinema Association (UKCA).
The Card enables a disabled cinema guest to receive a complimentary ticket for someone to go with them when they visit a participating cinema.

Radar Key
You can apply for a key at North Tyneside Council
RADAR Key - Do you have yours? This handy little (actually it is quite large) key enables you to have access to disabled toilets throughout the country. Many external disabled toilet facilities & those in some train stations etc are only accessed using a RADAR Key
For Newcastle/North Tyneside they are available from the Disability North Centre Dene Centre and from the RADAR Shop They cost about £2 & are available to people who need assistance in the toilet including people with learning difficulties or ASD as well as people who are wheel chair users.

Shiremoor Adventure Playground Trust (shiremoor-adventure-playground-trust.org)
Shiremoor Adventure Playground is a community-based, inclusive adventure playground, catering for children and young people of all abilities.
Sunday and Monday for children with additional needs, their peers and their families.
Admission is free!
Public opening times are open access, with children aged eight and over able to come and go as they please. Children aged under-eight must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Friendly Playworkers are always on hand to help out and support children to use the equipment. Refreshments are for sale at the small café run by local volunteers and supported by the Shiremoor Adventure Playground Trust.
The playground provides dedicated sessions for children with disabilities (please ask for details). The accessible play centre is also equipped with a kitchen, toilets and changing facilities which include a hoist, shower and changing bed.
