Structure of the Day

Throughout the day, the children have opportunities for both adult led and child initiated play both indoors and outdoors.

Our general daily routine is outlined below:

8.45 – 9.00 a.m. Register and morning job.
9.00 – 9.30 a.m. Phonics.
9.30 – 10.25 a.m. Child initiated play and adult led tasks
10.30 – 10.45 a.m. Play time
10.45 – 11.00 a.m. Snack and story time
11.00 – 11.20 a.m. Carpet time (teacher led learning – literacy)
11.20 – 11.45 a.m. Child initiated play
11.45 – 12.00 a.m. Handwriting
12.00 – 1.00 p.m. Lunch time and outdoor play
1.00 – 1.10 p.m. Register and calming time
1.10 – 1.30 p.m. Carpet time (Teacher led learning – maths)
1.30 – 2.20 p.m. Child initiated play and adult led tasks (indoors / outdoors)
2.20 – 2.30 p.m. Tidy up
2.30 – 2.45 p.m. Carpet time (Teacher led learning)
2.45 – 3.00 p.m. Story time
3.00 – 3.10 p.m. Prepare for home time.

 

PE, PSHE, music and forest school sessions are also planned in weekly.
