Homework
Spring Term - Reading Homework
Your child will read with their teacher every week within a group reading session. Outside of school we hope that the children are reading as often as possible. To support this, they will be sent home a reading book which is appropriately matched for their reading level. Additionally, children will access the library once a week to choose a book of their choice.
Reading homework tasks are set weekly and children are expected to complete them. If they cannot complete them at home, they can attend our lunchtime homework club (Mon/Wed/Fri).
The sheet that will be stuck in their reading homework book this half term is below. Tasks will be identified each week and we look forward to seeing their responses!
Spring Term - Maths Homework
Weekly maths homework will be set on Mathletics each Wednesday. The expectation is that the given tasks will be completed by the following Monday. If your child is unable to access Mathletics you should inform the class teacher and children should attend the lunchtime Homework Club.
Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) is an excellent resource for learning times tables. At the end of Year 4 your child will take part in the multiplication check. Regular practise on TTRS will support confidence, fluency and stamina. We will be partaking in regular Class 9 vs Class 10 battles so we will need everyone to work together! Opportunities to log on will be given through the week and also at lunchtime Homework Club.
Logins for both Mathletics and TTRS have been sent home with the children, please keep these safe!!
